The chapter 3 begins with Janie questioning about whether or not marriage brings love. Then Nanny tells Janie that she will definetly love Logan after she marries with him. So Janie consents to marrying Logan and becoming the mistress of sixty acres of land.
When Janie reaches Logan’s house, she finds that it’s a pretty lonely, boring place off in the middle of nowhere. She waited three months for the love. But the love did nit come. She visits Nanny to ask for the advice. She told her that the best thing to do is wait.
A month later, nanny dies. A year passes, and Janie still feels no love for Logan and becomes even more disillusioned.
